Toy objects + Object-Picture Matching Baseboards + Picture Instructions + Screening Form.
There are 11 brand new toy objects, as pictured, although colours and sizes will vary:
APPLE, BOOK, BOX, CAR, CUP, KEY, SPOON, PENCIL, BOY, GIRL, TEDDY.
Please note: The boy and girl will be either those pictured here, or slightly bigger with different clothes and hair colour.
The teddy is made of fabric, the boy and girl are made of wood and fabric, and all 3 characters can be made to sit down. All the toys are sold as suitable for children over the age of 3 years.
There are 3 object-to-picture matching baseboards, all A4 size: these are used to match the actual objects to pictures used in the picture instructions.
There are 34 Picture Instructions in total as follows:
1WL actions: 6 x black and white action pictures with labels. these can be used to give ‘Simon Says’ type instructions for your child to act out:
JUMP, RUN, LIE DOWN, SIT DOWN, STAND UP, WALK
2WL actions: 12 x coloured pictures of a girl and a boy eating/drinking/sleeping/sitting/jumping and walking. These are used as picture instructions for your child to act out with the toy girl and boy e.g. ‘make the BOY WALK’. They can also be used as a simple picture activity e.g. ‘where’s the GIRL DRINKING?’
2WL objects: 4 x picture instructions e.g. ‘give the APPLE to the TEDDY’
3WL objects: 4 x picture instructions e.g. ‘put the KEY UNDER the BOX’
3WL actions: 4 x picture instructions e.g. ‘make the GIRL JUMP on the BOOK’
4WL objects: 4 x picture instructions e.g. ‘put the PENCIL in the CUP and the CAR on the BOOK’
The score sheet is a double-sided A4 sheet laminated and backed with card. This can be photocopied to record children’s responses.
All the picture resources are laminated in non-reflective Matt plastic, and fit into an A4 popper bag. This in turn fits into an A4 zipped bag, together with all the toys, and this is labelled with a brown parcel tag.
This pack can be used to check how many key words a child understands in a sentence. Suitable for screening children with delayed language, children with autism, and children learning English.
