Colour-coded Picture Symbol Book with Baseboard and Picture Scenes.
The Picture Symbol Book has 5 pages, A4 size, - 2 yellow (actions), 1 blue (places) and 2 green (objects). The colour-coding matched the Colourful Semantics Programme. Each picture symbol measures 5.6cm x 5.6cm and is attached to the page with a Velcro coin.
The baseboard has 3 sentences, each with spaces to place the picture symbols.
The aim is for children to choose an activity they wish to do, then the place and any objects associated with the activity, and place the appropriate picture symbols on the baseboard e.g. ‘I want to swim, I go to swimming pool, I need my swimsuit.’
There are 22 picture scenes, A6 pictures backed with card, for practice matching the picture symbols and learning the vocabulary.
This pack helps children learn everyday vocabulary of actions, places and objects that they can use to make choices and talk about their day.
This pack is aimed at young children learning to develop their vocabulary and to combine words, using requesting and commenting activities.
Highly recommended for children with delayed language and children with ASD, and children learning English.
