This is a comprehensive pack of activities to support children’s understanding of Blanks level Questions, working through ALL Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3 questions, and SOME Level 4 questions.
The activities are based on the storybook Giraffes Can’t Dance, and include good quality animal counters and a random animal finger puppet. NB: The book is not included in this pack.
Activities are highly visual and interactive and provide a range of prompts and support for the kinds of questions children find difficult to answer in class from the ages 3-6 years.
They are split into 2 main kinds of activities: Vocabulary and Narrative.
The Vocabulary activities are based around word webs with accompanying resources addressing colour, size and category.
The Narrative activities use a 6-picture story sequence, a storyboard template, and Level 3-4 questions relating to the story. There are also prompts to make up their own story with the random animal finger puppet enclosed.
This is an alternative to picture-based and questioning activities.
Highly recommended for children who have learned the basics of language, but struggle with typical questions asked by school staff. Suitable for children with delayed language, children with autism, and children learning English.
