This is a screen using toy objects, a photo scene, a 6-picture sequence, and a photocopiable score sheet, all based on a trip to the supermarket.
The toy objects include a miniature Grandpa, Grandma and baby, 6 assorted fruit and vegetable counters, a toy car, duck, ball and teddy, plus a box with a lid and a metal shopping trolley.
The photo scene shows all the toy objects together in a scene for you/your child to match with the objects. It is A5 size, laminated and backed with card.
The 6 picture cards show the simple sequence of shopping, with the baby also losing their teddy. The pictures are laminated and backed with card (all 6 fit onto an A4 sheet).
The assessment ‘crib’ and score sheet is 2 sides of A4 laminated and reinforced with card, and is photocopiable. It lists between 7 and 11 questions for each level , with 35 questions in all.
Each skill item shows the resources you need from the pack, the question to ask, and the suggested answer, with a space for the child’s response/a tick or cross. There is a sub-total box for each level to help decide which level your child is functioning. (The score is mainly qualitative, although I have included at least 7 questions for each level which should give a good idea of the level.)
All the toy objects fit into an A5 zipped bag. The photo and picture sequence fit into an A5 popper bag, and everything fits into an A4 zipped bag.
