Picture Resources: Picture Exchange ‘I can see’ strip + picture cards + tips to help your child understand and use ‘Big’ and ‘Little’ and words for animals.
The ‘I can see’ strip is attached to an A4 baseboard, backed with card, together with 8 pictures of the animals featured in the book, all attached to a baseboard with Velcro coins, so that your child can comment when the flaps are opened e.g. ‘I can see a scary snake’.
The picture cards are of a lion, an elephant, a giraffe, a frog, a snake and a puppy (all in the book), attached to a ‘Zoo’ baseboard with Velcro dots.
There are 2 place boards of a little box and a big box, backed with card for extra durability.
There is a pack of 12 picture instruction cards, featuring each of the animals in either the little box or the big box.
The resources are designed to help children understand and use language at the 2 word level (put the GIRAFFE in the LITTLE box, put the FROG in the BIG box etc).
Finally there is an A4 advice sheet, with tips for using the resources to boost your child’s speech and language.
All the picture resources and the TIPS sheet are laminated with Matt non-reflective plastic.
The picture resources and advice sheet fit into an A4 popper bag, labelled with a brown parcel tag, for convenience and durability.
This resource extends the language-boosting potential of a well-loved book, with picture games that work well for children with delayed language, for children with autism, and for children learning English as an additional language.
