A box of 47 miniature toys and objects + 50 picture cards + tote bag + word sheet.
There are 47 new toys and objects to represent all single consonant sounds in all positions in words. The toys are miniature, ranging in size from 1-6 cm so care must be taken with very young children or children who mouth objects.
The toys are presented in a plastic craft box measuring 27cm x 17cm x 5 cm, with removable dividers. Spare dividers are included in the pack.
There are 50 picture cards, measuring approximately 6cm x 7cm. These are mainly silhouette pictures for object-picture matching games and extra practise of target sounds.
There is a fabric tote bag, measuring approximately 15cm x 15cm, to use when working on specific groups of speech sounds, ‘What’s in the bag’ games, etc.
Finally there is a photocopiable word sheet of all the words that can be elicited with the objects and pictures, sorted into Initial, Medial and Final, with space to either tick or write the child’s response.
All the resources fit into an A4 zipped bag, labelled with a brown parcel tag.
This pack can be used as an informal screen of single speech sounds in all positions in words, or to work on target speech sounds using motivating miniature objects.
