Sequencing Baseboard + 2 story sequencing packs (each pack contains 2 sets of 8 story sequencing pics). Choose any 2 from the following: The Very Hungry Caterpillar, We’re Going on a Bear Hunt, The Gruffalo, The Tiger who came to Tea, The Snail and the Whale, Room on the Broom, A Squash and a Squeeze, Giraffes Can’t Dance, and The Smartest Giant in Town.
The baseboard is backed with card and laminated with Matt plastic, and folds, as each set of 2 frames is attached to the next with treasury tags, so can be used to sequence 8 pics or detached to sequence 2, 4 or 6 pictures. Each frame has a Velcro dot. The baseboard comes in an A4 zipped bag.
Each story sequencing set has 2 sets of 8 large pictures (measuring approx. 4.5” square) backed with coloured card, laminated with Matt plastic, with a Velcro dot on the back for placement on the baseboard. There are 2 sets for snap/pairs games. The pictures come in a popper bag, and both popper bags fit into the A4 zipped bag with the baseboard.
This resource is designed to help children sequence elements of a familiar story, and either retell it or act it out with the pictures as prompts. There are simple word labels for each picture, and you can familiarise your child with each picture and label by playing ‘Snap’ or ‘Pairs’ games first. Images for each story match the images I use in the main story packs, (which differ from the story book images to enable generalisation of language concepts).
