Board Book + Feelings Why/How/What Pack + Lego Building Pack.
This bumper pack uses Lego building to extend the work on expressing feelings. The different colour monsters can be tied in with the story book: there is a mixed up monster that is a lot bigger than the single colour monsters, and who looks confused, a blue monster with sad eyes, a red/orange monster with angry eyes, and a brown/black monster, a pink monster and a green monster that can represent scared , loving and calm . The children can also use any/all of the bricks to represent how they feel and put a name on it.
The board book measures approximately 16cm x 16cm and has 9 double pages telling the simple story of a mixed up monster and a girl who helps him separate out all his feelings by colour.
The visual resources use the colours as a starting point but aim to help children answer the important questions about their feelings, using simple lotto pictures as examples and blank squares for you/them to write or draw their own specific responses.
Recommended for children in Key Stage 1 with delayed language, children with autism, and children learning English.
This pack uses the Lego Therapy approach to help children take turns to request and to instruct, and is recommended for children with delayed language and children with autism.
