There are 4 place boards of a snow scene, a fireside, a fridge and a cooker, laminated and backed with card for extra durability. These all feature in the book, and can be used to talk about ‘hot’ and ‘cold’.
There is a pack of 16 picture instruction cards, featuring each of the characters in each place (e.g. the boy by the fire, the snowman next to the cooker), laminated in non-reflective Matt plastic and held together with an elastic band.
The resources are designed to help children understand use language at the 1 word level for actions and HOT/COLD (who’s EATING?, who’s COLD?), and at the 2 word level (put the DAD in the SNOW; put MUM by the FIRE).
