The paperback book measures approximately 28cm x 24cm and has 16 double pages telling the well known story.
The 10 Story Sequencing Pictures are A5 in size, laminated and backed in card. On the back of each picture is a list of the sensory objects needed, actions to perform/encourage, and any dialogue.
The Sensory Objects are chosen to emphasise the actions in this story. Most are tactile, with some auditory, visual and scent objects included. The objects are as follows (with action suggested in brackets):
Drumstick - 22cm long, to tap out the rhythm of repeated phrases e.g. ‘We can’t go over it…’
Uh-oh! - bicycle bell 5cm x 6cm
Grass - cheerleader’s Pom Pom with green ribbons, 32cm long including handle
River - length of spandex blue material approximately 30cm x 25cm
- spray bottle 12cm long (you need to fill this with water)
Mud - soft brown ‘foam clay’ in a sealed bag approximately 18cm x 18cm
Forest - a box 10cm x 24cm x 4cm filled with acorns, cones, bark leaves, moss, pine scented
Snowstorm - white scarf 60cm x 60cm
Cave - black drawstring bag 40cm x 34cm
- Torch 11cm long with AA battery included
Bear - plush bear hat
Covers - hand towel or tea towel big enough to cover head
