“Where’s Spot?” book + Snap cards + picture cards + tips to help your child understand and use ‘On’ and ‘Under’ and animal words.
The book is a brand new Lift the Flap board book and has 22 pages and 9 flaps featuring a range of animals hidden around the house.
There are 18 Snap cards featuring 9 animals from the book that can be used to play ‘Snap!’ or ‘Pairs’, all laminated in non-reflective Matt plastic, held together with an elastic band.
The picture cards are of a dog, a snake, a tortoise and a monkey (all in the book), laminated in non-reflective Matt plastic and attached to a baseboard with Velcro dots, that are compatible with PECS products (Picture Exchange Communication System).
There are 2 place boards of a staircase and a bed, laminated and backed with card for extra durability. The Velcro dots are positioned ON and UNDER the stairs and the bed.
There is a pack of 16 picture instruction cards, featuring each of the animals in each position (e.g. the dog under the stairs, the monkey on the bed), laminated in non-reflective Matt plastic and held together with an elastic band.
The resources are designed to help children understand use language at the 2 word level (put the DOG on the BED; put him UNDER the BED) and the 3 word level (put the MONKEY UNDER the STAIRS; put the TORTOISE ON the STAIRS).
Finally there is an advice sheet, laminated in non-reflective Matt plastic, with tips for using the resources to boost your child’s speech and language, gained from my 30 years work as a Speech and Language Therapist (now retired).
The picture resources and advice sheet all fit into a sturdy A5 zipped bag, labelled with a brown parcel tag ,for convenience and durability.
